We are seeking a skilled Family Violence Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Case Management teams to deliver high-quality, client-centred support to adult and child victim-survivors of family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure seamless data management.
  • Coordinate referrals and facilitate effective communication with clients, families, and stakeholders.
  • Manage correspondence and develop strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Assist with data analysis and reporting, providing valuable insights to inform service delivery.

The Family Violence Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery by streamlining administrative processes and enabling Case Managers to focus on direct client support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a certificate or diploma qualification in social work, community services, community development, or a related field. You will also need a foundational understanding of the drivers, dynamics, and impacts of family violence.

Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop skills in working with adults, young people, and children from diverse backgrounds facing complex challenges related to family violence, homelessness, health, mental health, drug and alcohol use, trauma, and marginalization.

This position requires a current Working With Children's check and National Police Check, which must be maintained at your own expense. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months with a review conducted during this time. Annual salary range is $73,386 – $81,924 plus superannuation (pro rata for part-time). Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
