Family Violence Specialist

As a Lead Family Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting families affected by family violence and child wellbeing concerns. You will work with victim-survivors, children, and men as fathers to ensure all voices are heard and respected.
You will conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans using evidence-based tools, and provide secondary consultation and expert advice. Your work will focus on collaboration, cultural safety, and professional judgment, making a real difference in the lives of those you serve.
Key Responsibilities:- Risk assessment and management plans for family violence and child wellbeing cases
- Developing safety plans using evidence-based tools
- Secondary consultation and expert advice for victim-survivors, children, and men as fathers
To succeed in this position, you will need a strong knowledge of family violence causes and the child and family services sector. You will also require highly developed skills in risk assessment and management, as well as a sound knowledge of community, welfare, education, and health services.
