Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to drive the adoption of cloud computing technologies in Higher Education institutions. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing a sales pipeline, delivering on account strategies, identifying and building relationships with key stakeholders, working with internal and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling solutions that drive great customer outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around cloud transformation and AI innovation to customers
  • Review sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy
  • Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement on cloud and AI technologies
  • Build, develop and execute on an account and territory strategy
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years of enterprise technology sales or account management experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles and customer relationships
  • Experience selling technology solutions to Higher Education or Research institutions
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • 6+ years selling to Higher Education institutions
  • Direct experience with state education procurement systems and buying cycles
  • Previous experience with cloud services sales (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Understanding of academic research computing requirements and grant funding processes
