About Us

Katherine Town Council is a Municipal Council serving the Katherine community in the Northern Territory. Our mission is to provide essential services to the community, including rates, roads, infrastructure, animal control, waste management, and other core services.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality events that meet the needs of our community. This includes developing and leading the execution of an annual events calendar, strategically engaging with external stakeholders, and coordinating the delivery of all aspects of events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the execution of an annual events calendar
  • Strategically engage with external stakeholders and invested parties
  • Coordinate the delivery of all aspects of events
  • Work collaboratively with the Communications team to manage Council's events and promotional material
  • Research and undertake new events that are relevant and engaging to the Katherine community
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Event Management or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current NT Drivers Licence
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products and other similar packages
  • High Level customer service experience
