Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced leasing professional to join our team in a senior retail leasing role. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving leasing performance and enhancing the tenant mix of a flagship retail centre located on the Gold Coast.

The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to step into a key leasing position where you will be directly contributing to the long-term value creation of a significant retail investment. Working closely with the asset and centre management teams, you will play a crucial role in shaping leasing strategy, attracting quality tenants, and driving commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and Securing New Retail Tenants: Proactively identify and secure new retail tenants to strengthen the centre's tenancy mix.
  • Lease Negotiations: Manage negotiations for new leases, renewals, assignments, and variations.
  • Tenant Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, leasing agents, and stakeholders.
  • Market Research: Undertake market research to identify retail trends, competitor activity, and opportunities.
  • Leasing Strategies: Assist with the preparation of leasing strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare heads of agreement and leasing documentation, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
  • Centre Activations: Collaborate with marketing and centre teams to support activations, retailer openings, and precinct enhancements.
  • Performance Reporting: Report on leasing activity, deal pipeline, and performance against targets.

About You

We are looking for an experienced leasing professional who is confident, commercially astute, and able to influence outcomes. You will bring:

  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in retail or commercial leasing, ideally with exposure to shopping centre assets.
  • Real Estate Licence: Current Real Estate Licence.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Market Knowledge: Market knowledge and the ability to identify and secure new retail opportunities.
  • Results-Driven Approach: A proactive and results-driven approach with the ability to deliver on targets.
