Job Title: Animal Welfare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an Animal Welfare Specialist. This role involves conducting proactive patrols and responding to animal-related complaints across the city. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering regulatory action, impounding animals found at large or posing a threat to public safety, and participating in community awareness and engagement activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a genuine interest in people, be skilled in negotiating positive outcomes in challenging situations, and be comfortable handling animals. You must also possess excellent customer service skills, high levels of integrity, and a positive attitude. A Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent knowledge is highly regarded, along with an unrestricted driver's licence class 'C'.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive patrols and respond to animal-related complaints across the city.">
  • Deliver regulatory action, including warnings and infringement notices.">
  • Impound/seize animals found at large or posing a threat to public safety.">
  • Participate in community awareness and engagement activities, such as school presentations and community events.">
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive reputation for the organisation.">
