About the Role

Norton Rose Fulbright is a leading global law firm providing comprehensive business law services to the world's pre-eminent corporations and financial institutions. With over 3,700 lawyers operating from more than 50 cities worldwide, we offer a full business law service.

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Special Counsel to join our growing Investment Funds team in Sydney. The successful candidate will work closely with our team's experienced lawyers, providing expert legal advice to investment managers across all asset classes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a range of funds formation and transactional work, including cross-border fund offerings and investments
  • Provide transaction support on deals focusing on real assets sectors, including private equity, energy/renewables, debt, real estate, and infrastructure
  • Offer high-quality advice to a broad range of blue-chip global and domestic asset management clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor junior lawyers in the team
  • Assist with business development and the strategic development of the practice
Requirements
  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience with a proven track record in investment funds at a leading firm and/or in-house
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and drafting skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • An interest in working on cross-border matters
  • Practice growth and teamwork mindset
