Position Overview:
Ventia is seeking a proficient Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to contribute to our esteemed Defence Maintenance contract. Envision yourself as a vital member of our Vehicle Mechanical Crew, responsible for the upkeep of a varied fleet of Defence vehicles within our workshop environment.
This role is a permanent, full-time opportunity that promises daily challenges and achievements. The working hours are Monday to Friday, commencing at 07:00am and concluding at 03:45pm, with an early finish on Fridays at 12:00pm, totaling 38 hours of dedicated service each week. This position offers a unique chance to be part of Ventia and play a significant role in supporting Defence operations.
The remuneration for this role is set at $37.41 per hour, with an additional negotiable allowance of $13.81 per hour for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on vehicles
- Identify and rectify vehicle issues
- Replace or repair defective components by disassembling systems such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
- Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced components
- Perform minor bodywork and trim repairs
Qualifications:
- Trade Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Diesel Fitting
- Valid WA Driver's Licence; HR preferred
- Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning or willingness to obtain
- Effective communication skills within a team setting
