About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our Westpac Open Banking Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing secure and scalable integration solutions for our digital identity applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain integration strategies, roadmaps, and policies for identity and security aspects of applications.
  • Provide thought leadership on identity and security solutions, collaborating with solution and security architecture teams.
  • Implement authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth2, SAML, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
  • Apply OWASP standards and best practices to secure web applications and APIs.
  • Liaise with vendors to develop fit-for-purpose identity and integration security solutions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of design and development experience, with a minimum of 5+ years of API or Microservices design experience.
  • Proven experience in solution design, identity, integration, and information security.
  • Proficiency in authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth2, SAML, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
  • Experience with identity and access management solutions, such as Ping Identity.
