Asphalt Laboratory Professional

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asphalt Laboratory Professional to join our team. This role involves performing routine sampling and testing of asphalt, PMB, emulsion, aggregate, bitumen, and other raw materials in our NATA laboratory.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the asphalt/cement or quarry industries, with knowledge of Australian standards for laboratories. They will also possess excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

  1. Perform routine sampling and testing of asphalt, PMB, emulsion, aggregate, bitumen, and other raw materials in accordance with recognized standards.
  2. Document test results and calibration data in compliance with NATA standards.
  3. Handle and manage chemicals in line with relevant safety protocols.
  4. Conduct procedures safely and ensure all equipment is kept in good working condition.
  5. Maintain the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of asphalt/cement or quarry industries (essential).
  • Knowledge of Australian standards for laboratories.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a positive work ethic.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company safety procedures.
  • Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (or similar).
