What you'll be doing
  • Confident you can catalogue mining materials into SAP?
  • You're somebody who knows the difference between materials, vendor and project management/ maintenance master data. You're used to the front-of-house nature with this type of role. Where people approach you for your master data expertise.
  • Think of this as the role that keeps the gears turning. You'll be the one setting up solid master data structures and keeping them clean, accurate, and free of duplicates. When new requirements pop up, you'll capture them and make sure they align with our coding standards.
  • Of course, not everything goes smoothly. When SAP throws up any data issues, you'll be there to dig into the root cause and fix it properly. Along the way, you'll report to support the Superintendent Materials & Services with extra projects, spotting smart ways for our operations to share supplies more efficiently.
About you
  • By now, you'll have picked up that your Master Data Record Management (MDRM) skills will be needed for accurate coding and data integrity.
  • You'll bring a sharp eye for detail and the ability to verify data while making sense of mining plant spare parts. You've likely built material and service master records before in mining, and you know how to communicate clearly, whether that's in writing or face-to-face with different teams.
  • Your technical know-how will shine through in the way you classify and code master data, backed up by hands-on experience with SAP. You'll also understand how supply chains work and how materials are managed from start to finish.
  • On top of that, you'll be between a beginner to intermediate level at Excel, and you'll be able to analyse data with confidence. And if you're familiar with Repairable/Rotable processes and the lifecycle of components, you'll feel right at home here.
