Asphalt and Aggregate Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Perform routine sampling and testing of asphalt, PMB, emulsion, aggregate, bitumen, and other raw materials to recognized standards in our laboratory.
- Document test results and calibration data in compliance with NATA standards.
- Handle and manage chemicals in line with relevant standards.
- Conduct procedures safely and ensure all equipment is kept in good condition for testing.
- Maintain the laboratory in accordance with NATA requirements.
- Understanding of asphalt/cement or quarry industries (essential).
- Willingness to travel - starting on a 3:1 roster.
- Knowledge of Australian standards for laboratories.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (or similar).
- Full-time position – minimum 80 hours per fortnight with available overtime.
