A career opportunity exists for an Import Operations Coordinator in Melbourne, supporting customers with their import needs. This role involves managing the full process of import operations, coordinating end-to-end solutions for key customers, and liaising with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating bookings, documentation, cartage, customs reporting, and job invoicing
  • Liaising with customers, carriers, service providers, and overseas partners
  • Ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction through effective responses to inquiries, issues, and concerns
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and service providers
  • Monitoring key operational activities to ensure efficient completion of import duties
  • Identifying and implementing changes to support continual improvement, business growth, and development of best practice SOPs

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with an international freight forwarder
  • Clear, confident communication skills and stakeholder management expertise
  • Import operations coordinator experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience using CargoWise (CW1) is advantageous
