About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Safety, Training and Wellbeing Manager. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our safety evolution and promoting a culture of care, trust, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute the safety, health, and wellbeing plan, ensuring a risk-based approach to identifying and controlling every day and critical risks.
  • Support and promote the Linfox safety evolution journey, focusing on strengthening our safety culture and embedding health and wellbeing practices.
  • Facilitate 4Ds and STKY sessions to encourage innovative and safe working practices.
  • Lead serious incident investigations, focusing on learning, improvement, and implementing risk controls.
  • Embed health and wellbeing initiatives, including general health, nutrition, fitness, and fatigue management.
  • Create a mentally healthy workplace by educating and addressing psychosocial risks.
  • Manage the safety system and auditing to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements.
  • Report and present on performance, trends, and outcomes.
  • Coach and develop the capability of the Safety, Health, and Wellbeing team.

Requirements

  • RISK: Proven understanding of risk identification, assessment, and management.
  • COACHING: Experience in coaching or training, with the ability to influence across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • CULTURE: Experience in building a strong team-based culture.
  • SAFETY: Experience in a safety role within a dynamic, high-risk environment.
  • HEALTH & WELLBEING: Genuine interest and experience in health and wellness.
  • COMPLIANCE: Understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment for WHS.
  • LEARNING: Keen interest in continuous learning and the ability to share learnings with others.
  • ENTHUSIASM & PASSION: Energy and enthusiasm for driving safety and wellbeing initiatives.
