About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety, Training and Wellbeing Manager to join our team at Linfox Pty Ltd. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in planning, developing, and executing our Safety, Health, and Wellbeing (SH&W) strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with our leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive SH&W plan, ensuring a proactive and risk-based approach to identifying and controlling every day and critical risks.
  • Drive the Linfox safety evolution by coaching and mentoring others to increase knowledge, ownership, and engagement in SH&W.
  • Facilitate 4Ds and STKY sessions to encourage our team to find better and safer ways to work.
  • Provide direction and support for serious incident investigations, focusing on learning, improvement, and implementing risk controls.
  • Embed health and wellbeing initiatives, including general health, nutrition, fitness, and fatigue management.
  • Create a mentally healthy workplace by educating and addressing psychosocial risks.
  • Manage our safety system and auditing to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements.
  • Report and present on performance, trends, and outcomes.
  • Coach and develop the capability of our Safety, Health, and Wellbeing team.

Requirements

  • Risk Management: Proven experience in identifying, assessing, and managing risk in a dynamic, high-risk environment.
  • Coaching and Training: Experience in coaching or training, with the ability to communicate effectively across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Culture Building: Proven ability to build a strong, team-based culture.
  • Safety Expertise: Experience in a safety role, with a strong understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Genuine interest and experience in health and wellness initiatives.
  • Compliance: Strong understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment.
  • Continuous Learning: Keen interest in continuous learning and the ability to share learnings with others.
  • Enthusiasm and Passion: Energy and enthusiasm for the role, with a passion for driving safety and wellbeing initiatives.
