About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Safety, Training and Wellbeing Manager. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our safety evolution and promoting a culture of care, trust, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and execute the safety, health and wellbeing plan, ensuring a risk-based approach to identifying and controlling every day and critical risks.
  • Actively support and promote the Linfox safety evolution journey, focusing on strengthening our safety culture and embedding health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Facilitate 4Ds and STKY sessions to encourage our team to find better and safer ways to work, and provide direction and support for serious incident investigations.
  • Manage the safety system and auditing to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements, and report and present on performance, trends, and outcomes.
  • Coach and develop the capability of the Safety, Health and Wellbeing team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to drive our safety evolution.
Requirements
  • Risk management: Proven ability to identify, assess, and manage risk in a dynamic, high-risk environment.
  • Coaching and training: Experience in coaching or training, with the ability to talk, listen, and influence across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Culture building: Proven experience in building a strong 'team-based' culture, with a focus on care, trust, and inclusion.
  • Safety and health: Genuine interest and experience in health and wellbeing, with a focus on general health, nutrition, fitness, and fatigue.
  • Compliance: Understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment that exists for WHS.
  • Learning and development: Keen interest in continuous learning, with the ability to share learnings with others.
  • Enthusiasm and passion: Energy and enthusiasm for the role, with a willingness to get involved and make a difference.
