This is a rare opportunity to drive the digital preservation strategy for a major government institution. You will be part of a small, dynamic team and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of digital preservation.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice on digital archiving and preservation.
- Lead the development of digital preservation policies, standards, procedures, and training material.
- Maintain oversight of the data model and ensure compliance of the digital preservation system.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with government agencies and facilitate the transfer of born-digital records.
- Collaborate with external digital preservation practitioners to progress digital preservation nationally and internationally.
- Undertake data analysis and prepare reports, submissions, and presentations for various stakeholders.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to the broadening of understanding of digital preservation and provide specialist advice and support to government agencies.
