Digital Preservation Specialist

The role of the Principal Digital Preservation Advisor is to contribute to the development and implementation of digital preservation policies, standards, procedures, and training material for government agencies.
As a key member of the digital archives team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the Queensland Government in its journey to implement digital preservation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert advice and guidance on digital archiving and preservation to government agencies.
- Leading the development and implementation of digital preservation policies, standards, procedures, and training material.
- Maintaining oversight of the data model and monitoring compliance of the digital preservation system.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with government agencies.
- Collaborating with external digital preservation practitioners to progress digital preservation on a national and international platform.
- Undertaking data analysis and preparing reports, submissions, and presentations for stakeholders.
