Employment Opportunity: Cloud Computing Strategist

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned cloud computing professional with extensive experience in developing and implementing cloud strategies for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for business operations to drive growth and innovation.
  • Design and implement cloud architecture frameworks to support application domains, governance, and tooling.
  • Implement Azure IaaS, PaaS technologies, and provide program management services to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Create detailed documents outlining customer requirements for SOWs, BOMs, and architecture design.
Technical Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of cloud storage best practices, scripting, storage security, and awareness of Azure Storage API.
  • Solid grasp of virtual machine configuration, imaging techniques, and the ability to provide expert guidance on creating, deploying, and managing VMs.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud networking, including virtual network design.
  • Ability to work with Azure to integrate network-specific products and services.
  • Understanding of load balancing, geo-redundancy, CDN, and VPN technologies.
  • Strong comprehension of security controls in the cloud, including network security, endpoint security, and IAM.
  • Ability to design secure architectures around DevOps/Continuous Integration models and implement robust security measures.
  • Expertise in automating Azure operational tasks using PowerShell and Azure Automation.
  • Architectural knowledge to guide customers in achieving high availability and disaster recovery for workloads running in Azure.
  • Good understanding of micro-services architecture and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud cost/billing propositions and open-source technologies used for native cloud applications.

This is a senior-level position in the information technology sector, reporting to the enterprise architecture function. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of IT experience, 6+ years of experience as an architect/pre/post-sales tech support, and 5+ years of public cloud experience.
