Welder - Wheel Repairs Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to join our team at the Mt Thorley Branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment and related tools/accessories are in sound functional order and respond promptly to rectify damage or wear to the wheels of our customers.

In this role, you will work to best practice and service standard protocols, diagnose/identify and troubleshoot wheel damage, and ensure all equipment used on site meets operational requirements and enables work to be carried out safely. Additionally, you will ensure every wheel is inspected and complies with quality management standards after each process stage of repair.

To succeed in this position, you must have appropriate trade qualifications in welding/heavy fabrication, a strong commitment to safety of yourself and others, and be fit and able to carry out manual labour requirements. You must also be punctual, reliable, and a team player with a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure equipment and related tools/accessories are in sound functional order.
  • Rectify damage or wear to the wheels of customers.
  • Work to best practice and service standard protocols.

  • Ensure all equipment used on site meets operational requirements.

Requirements:
  • Appropriate trade qualifications in welding/heavy fabrication.
  • Forklift licence (LF) or ability to obtain.
  • Strong commitment to safety of yourself and others.
  • Fit and able to carry out manual labour requirements.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a team player with a can-do attitude.
