Job Description

Role Summary

The State Government of Victoria, Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and PE Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs to students in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student growth and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs that promote student well-being and academic success
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum programs and resources that align with state and national standards
  • Participate in professional learning and development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay up-to-date with best practices in education

Requirements

  • Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Qualifications and experience in teaching Health and PE
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve school-wide goals and objectives
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development
