After Hours Leadership Specialist

This role is a pivotal position within our healthcare team, requiring exceptional leadership and management skills to oversee after hours operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and coach team members.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising safe and quality patient care, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately. They will also liaise with senior executives and report significant events.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure high-quality patient care that meets current best practice standards
- Support and collaborate with nurse unit managers and team leaders to achieve operational goals
- Coordinate effective patient flow, including admissions and discharges
- Develop and implement strategies to improve hospital operations and reduce costs
- Registered Nurse with 8+ years of experience and current AHPRA registration
- Proven experience in after hours coordination or nurse unit management; critical care experience is an advantage
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and coach team members
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
