Industry leader sought to spearhead expansion in energy storage solutions for Commercial and Industrial sectors in Australia. We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will drive growth initiatives, identify new business opportunities, engage with clients, and develop comprehensive strategies to acquire projects.
About the Role- Liaise with clients to understand their energy storage requirements and recommend tailored solutions.
- Develop and implement a strategy for acquiring Commercial and Industrial energy storage projects.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction and facilitating long-term partnerships.
- Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Source leads from various channels including industry events, trade shows, digital platforms, and referrals.
- Evaluate new business opportunities through thorough analysis and evaluation.
- Business Development Strategy
- Design a comprehensive strategy for acquiring Commercial and Industrial energy storage projects.
- Align business development initiatives with internal capabilities, client needs, and market conditions.
- Client Relationship Management
- Nurture and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Proposal Development
- Create compelling proposals, bids, and tenders tailored to energy storage solutions.
- Customize technical specifications, pricing models, and financial projections to maximize value and competitiveness.
- Contract Negotiation
- Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms aligned with legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and technical teams to finalize agreements while minimizing risk.
- Project Coordination
- Communicate effectively with engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
- Provide technical oversight to maintain project feasibility and adherence to schedules.
- Industry Engagement
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to build brand presence and strategic connections.
- Participate in professional associations and market initiatives to stay current with industry trends and developments.
- Analyze competitive positioning and identify new market opportunities to refine go-to-market strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, project management, or a related field.
- A focus on energy storage or renewable energy is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, project development, or project management within the energy storage, battery systems, or renewable energy sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Proven capability in managing complex negotiations and multi-phase projects.
