Discover a new challenge as a skilled Water Sector Design Expert. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects.

The role will involve collaborating with our design teams to deliver high-quality mechanical designs for water sector projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from conceptual design to detailed engineering, and will be responsible for ensuring that all designs meet our quality standards.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in CAD software, including Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Plant 3D. Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design is essential. You should also have a strong understanding of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.

About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Import and manipulate vendor drawings/models
  • Produce detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&IDs
  • Export equipment/piping quantities
  • Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction
  • Support project teams with documentation, revisions, and coordination of drawings/models
  • Establish and maintain design templates and drawing standards
Requirements
  • Proficient in relevant CAD software
  • Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
  • Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design
  • Understanding of risk management and ability to identify project and design-related risks
  • Commitment to working safely and within the company's HSEQ systems
