Design Engineer for Water Sector

The role of Mechanical Designer/Drafter is crucial in delivering plans for construction, working closely with Mechanical/Process engineers, and collaborating with project teams to support documentation, revisions, and coordination of drawings/models.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for importing and manipulating vendor drawings/models, producing detailed mechanical drawings/models including P&ID's, exporting equipment/piping quantities, and establishing and maintaining design templates and drawing standards.

• Proficient in relevant CAD software, Autodesk Civil 3D (Civil role) & Autodesk Plant 3D (Mechanical role), a strong understanding of Autocad is essential for both roles.
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, operational practices, and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
• Relevant TAFE qualifications, diploma, or degree in drafting, engineering, or design.
