Key Role in Open Pit Mining

A short-term opportunity has arisen for a Pit Technician to join an active gold operation.

This is a great chance to gain exposure in a busy open pit mine, working with geologists, surveyors, and production supervisors as part of the Mine Technical Services team.

Responsibilities
  • Blasthole and face sampling, preparation, and dispatch
  • Marking ore/waste boundaries and assisting with dig plans
  • ROM stockpile management and ore spotting to minimize dilution
  • Survey pickups, pit mark-ups, and compliance checks
  • Monitoring pit conditions and reporting hazards
  • Accurate data and sample recording
Work Details
  • FIFO from Perth
  • 8 days on/6 days off
  • Contract length: 3 swings
