Are you a skilled Geologist looking for a challenging role in Open Pit exploration?

We are seeking a talented Project / Mine Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our geological services, you will play a critical role in identifying, mapping, and classifying materials to maximize ore recovery.

About the Role

  • Assist with grade control drill programs, including daily management, planning, scheduling, and liaising with drillers.
  • Interpret deposit mineralization, lithology, and structure through in-pit mapping and sampling.
  • Document and communicate the geology of the open pit mine.
  • Collaborate with technical services to extract mineralized domains, reducing dilution and maximizing recovery while meeting production targets.
  • Design ore blocks, conduct ore mark-outs, spotting, and bench mapping to optimize ore recovery and stockpile control.
  • Collect and analyze geological and production data to support daily geological services.
  • Provide feedback to mining and technical teams on progress towards targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain communication through regular tracking of ore movements.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Geology or equivalent.
  • Possess experience in Open Pit operations is desirable.
  • Hold a valid WA Driver's License C Class or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in GIS, 3D modeling software, and database systems.
  • Understanding of quality assurance and control procedures, drilling, sampling practices, and standard laboratory analytical methods.
