Job Title: Clinical Expert in Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Expert in Psychiatry to join our innovative virtual mental health service in New South Wales. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge telehealth technology, providing timely access to individualized and holistic assessment and care by expert multidisciplinary clinicians.

About the Role:

This position involves the use of telehealth technology to provide expert care to patients across a geographically dispersed area. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead teams, work with multidisciplinary clinicians, and manage inpatients within the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert care to patients through the use of telehealth technology.
  2. Lead teams of multidisciplinary clinicians to provide holistic assessment and care.
  3. Manage inpatients within the service.

Requirements:

  • Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
  • Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
  • Proven capacity and/or experience in the provision of effective high-quality services, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
