Workshop Operations Manager

Lead a skilled team to oversee the entire operation of our modern workshop facility at Erskine Park, Sydney.

Job Description:

The Workshop Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day workshop activities, driving continuous improvement, ensuring highest standards of safety and quality assurance, customer service, financial performance, cost efficiency, relationships with fleet management teams, suppliers, and contractors, collaborating with senior leadership to enhance performance and fleet productivity, motivating and guiding a diverse team of service advisors, mechanics, and apprentices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience working within truck fleet workshops
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large workshop teams
  • Trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic specialising in Heavy Commercial Vehicles
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly in SAP and MS Office suite
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor, train, and support team development
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • HR/HC Licence and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Professional demeanour with an outcome-focused approach
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to learning and continuous improvement
