This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a strong trade background in fitting and machining, combined with excellent people and operational management skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production schedule to meet internal and external delivery deadlines.
  • Supervise daily activities across the Machine Shop and Welding Bay, planning and prioritizing as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems.
  • Operate machines when required to meet urgent deadlines.
  • Assist with quoting, project management, materials purchasing, and quality checks.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance for all shop equipment.
Requirements:

We're looking for someone who brings leadership, technical skills, and a proactive mindset. To be successful, you'll need:

  • 5+ years' experience managing staff in a machine shop or similar workshop setting.
  • CAD/CAM training and proficiency.
  • Proven ability to lead cultural and operational change in a workshop environment.
  • High-level computer literacy and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol Testing.
  • Full work rights in Australia.
