Job Summary:

The Senior Manager role is a key position in the development and implementation of strategies to engage with First Nations artists, music, and culture within the NSW contemporary music sector.

This involves establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders across government agencies, the music industry, and the community sector across NSW.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members to deliver strategic and operational priorities while anticipating and responding to opportunities, challenges, and deadlines.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies for First Nations artists, music, and culture
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with senior team members to achieve strategic and operational goals
  • Anticipate and respond to opportunities, challenges, and deadlines
Key Requirements:
  • Practical knowledge of government processes and procedures
  • Stakeholder management expertise and experience navigating complex organizations
  • Leadership skills and ability to drive performance in politically and commercially complex environments
  • Experience working at a senior level in a complex organization
  • A broad network of trusted relationships with Aboriginal Elders, communities, and organizations

This is an identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role. A letter of confirmation of Aboriginality or written confirmation from two (2) Aboriginal organizations must be uploaded to the job application to be considered for the role.
