Dispatch Coordinator Role

The Dispatch Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by ensuring seamless order delivery, satisfying customers, and collecting payments. This position also provides crucial support to the warehouse floor staff.

This is a casual opportunity for the right candidate.

  • Verify final payment before confirming delivery, planning with transport companies as needed.
  • Organize delivery runs by days and locality.
  • Arrange carriers and secure quotes when required.
  • Provide top-notch Customer Service on dispatch issues such as delays, special requests, and payment.
  • Liaise with showroom managers to resolve issues related to delivery and despatch of floor stock, special requests, etc.
  • Assist the Marketing and Design teams with coordinating showroom changeovers and photo shoots.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into SAP regarding payments, customer details, customer requests (including time of delivery, etc.).
  • Liaise with customer service team and inform them of any issues relating to despatch or final payments received.
  • Contact customers about delivery dates and times of products.
  • Resolve customer complaints and follow the escalation procedure correctly where necessary.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a dispatch or coordinator role.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and customer experience.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and effectively engage with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes (SAP highly desirable).
  • Ability to promote and contribute to a positive work environment.
