Job Title: Cloud Security Strategist

A comprehensive overview of the Cloud Security Strategist role at our organization. Our team is responsible for managing the security of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the safety of employees, security of customer data, and flawless operations of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership in facility security management, setting strategy and overseeing budgets to ensure effective security practices and operations.
  • Lead projects to improve security metrics, program reviews, and testing of security controls, engaging with senior leadership across the organization and customers.
  • Collaborate with customers and Amazon teams to develop new processes, deploy technology, and continuously enhance security operations.

This role requires adaptability in a dynamic environment, driven by changing customer requirements, build schedule changes, security vendor commitments, and evolving security threats. The incumbent must work effectively under pressure, adjusting priorities while relying on established knowledge and experience in cleared security spaces.

As a leader in private cloud security, you will engage with senior stakeholders, write and present documents on operational procedures, results, and ideas. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive program security guidance concerning personnel, physical, operational, technical, industrial, counterintelligence, and media management.
  • Creating, implementing, communicating, and managing security requirements at large, government-accredited sites, supporting day-to-day multi-discipline program security operations.
  • Drafting and reviewing security documentation, including transportation plans, procedures, and CONOPs.
  • Proactively identifying program and physical security requirements, problems, and solutions to sustain and enhance security of program execution.
  • Performing and/or supporting operations and maintenance of security hardware and systems to meet organizational requirements.
  • Developing and strengthening relationships with internal and external partners to heighten security awareness and engagement.
  • Directing and managing onsite security forces to run daily security operations.
  • Managing classified material programs to ensure procedures are developed and operated in accordance with internal security policies and practices.
  • Participating in recurring security audits and reviews, executing compliance processes with organizational policies, standards, guidelines, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing security P&L for assigned site(s), assisting management with financial analysis, and contributing to financial decisions for security requirements.
  • Traveling between local facilities as required.
