About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aged Care Professional to join our team at Collarcare in Forster.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care to residents in residential Aged Care facilities, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Documentation and Administration: Assist Registered Nurses with documentation of vital signs, medication administration, and resident assessments.
  • Meal Support: Assist with meal consumption and monitoring nutrition to ensure the health and well-being of our residents.
  • Infection Control: Implement and maintain infection control and prevention measures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Palliative and Restorative Care: Provide palliative care, restorative care, and pain management to residents as needed.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with residents' families, doctors, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Certification: Hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
  • COVID Vaccinations: Be up-to-date with COVID vaccinations and annual flu shots.
  • First Aid and CPR: Hold current first aid and CPR certification.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 6 months of full-time experience working in Aged Care as a Personal Care Worker in Australia.
  • Certifications and Checks: Hold a current Police Check (under 12 months old) and NDIS Clearance or be willing to obtain.
