About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Arcare Aged Care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing quality personal, social, and emotional care and support to our residents. Your primary functions will include:
- Personal Care: Assisting with activities such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, maintaining the dignity and privacy of each resident.
- Mobility Support: Helping seniors with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions, including from a bed to a wheelchair.
- Monitoring Health: Observing and reporting any changes in the resident's health or behavior.
- Meal Assistance: Supporting residents with their dietary requirements, ensuring they receive the food they need, and assisting them in the process of eating.
- Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in the resident's condition on eCase.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Working in collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our residents.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
- Adaptability, passion, and a willingness to learn.
- Collaborative and skilled teamwork abilities.
- Friendly and effective communication skills.
