Clean and safe public spaces are essential for our community's well-being. As a Civil Works Assistant, you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining Council's infrastructure assets, including cleaning public spaces, monitoring stockpile sites, minor concreting and paving works, waste collection, and assistance to community and other groups.
\About the Role
\
- Work collaboratively with a team to deliver maintenance programs and activities across all of Council's infrastructure asset classes.
- Respond to planned and reactive maintenance requests.
- Removal of orphan waste (including asbestos) and cleaning up of sites.
- Public place cleaning and waste collection.
- Operate plant or equipment, including driving a truck and towing a plant trailer.
\Key Responsibilities
\
- Assist in the delivery of maintenance programs and activities.
- Monitor stockpile sites and perform minor concreting and paving works.
- Collect waste and provide assistance to community and other groups.
- Respond to planned and reactive maintenance requests.
\Requirements
\
- Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
- Negotiable NSW Class MR Driver's licence – or willingness to obtain.
- White Card – General Construction Induction Licence – or willingness to obtain.
