Teaching Position

Our school aims to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to each student's unique needs. Our dedicated teaching team is committed to delivering high-quality instruction and fostering academic growth.

The school serves a diverse student body with 150 students across six mainstream classes and two Support classes. We value equity, inclusivity, and community support in all aspects of our educational approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Approval in teaching special education and/or experience teaching students with disabilities.
  2. Leading differentiated curriculum and implementing individualised learning programs to maximise student engagement.
  3. Managing complex challenging behaviours and supporting staff in planning for and managing these behaviours.
  4. Building inclusive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community through exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Successful teaching experience and capacity to initiate improvement in teaching and classroom practice.
  2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare, with ability to lead quality teaching and learning programs.
  3. Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
  5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
  6. Knowledge of and commitment to Aboriginal education policy.
