Job Title: Assistant Principal Special Education

We are seeking an exceptional education leader to join our school community as an Assistant Principal Special Education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual who shares our commitment to providing high-quality education to students with diverse needs.

About the Role

The Assistant Principal Special Education will play a key role in leading and managing the delivery of special education programs and services across the school. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes, building partnerships with parents and carers, and contributing to the development of whole-school policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of special education programs and services;
  • Provide professional learning and coaching to teachers on differentiated instruction and assessment;
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents and carers to promote collaboration and support;
  • Contribute to the development of whole-school policies and procedures related to special education;
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of special education programs and services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree in Education or a related field;
  • Approval to teach special education or demonstrated capacity to lead differentiated curriculum;
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team leadership and professional learning;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, students, and parents/carers;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks related to special education.
