We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education leader to join our team. As an Assistant Principal Special Education, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of students with autism and/or intellectual disabilities.

As a successful candidate, you will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to lead strengths-based planning and implement evidence-based practices. You will also have a proven track record of leading high-quality, differentiated curriculum delivery and developing individualised student plans.

The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and the ability to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the establishment of a new Support Unit
  • Developing and implementing high-quality, individualised curriculum delivery
  • Transition and behaviour support through consultation and collaboration
