Curriculum and Instruction Leader
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving educational excellence across the curriculum. They will be responsible for providing high-level support and guidance to enhance teacher growth and development in literacy and numeracy.
Main Responsibilities:
- To implement evidence-informed literacy and numeracy practices that improve teaching, learning, and assessment across the curriculum.
- To design and deliver differentiated professional learning opportunities that ensure the continual development and growth of teacher expertise in the teaching of literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, teach, and evaluate the impact of evidence-informed teaching strategies for improved student outcomes in literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
Selection Criteria:
- Successful teaching experience with a proven ability to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
- Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
- Commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies.
Terms and Conditions:
The positions are permanent full-time appointments at 0.8FTE and 0.2FTE respectively. The successful applicant will be required to accept the terms and conditions attached to this appointment.
