Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nurse/midwife to lead our Women's Outpatient Department. This is a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team, providing expert care to women and their babies.

About the Role
  • This part-time position (0.84 FTE) offers a challenging and rewarding experience, working closely with Shared Maternity Care Affiliates and General Practitioners to ensure smooth program management.
  • You will be responsible for providing expert nursing/midwifery care, supporting the Shared Maternity Care program, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Your strong leadership, management, and clinical skills will be essential in this role, as you work in a culturally competent setting and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Registered or eligible Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practicing certificate.
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife, or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Demonstrated competence in relevant nursing/midwifery practice, effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritize workload while meeting set timelines.
