About the Opportunity

SA Health is seeking an experienced Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to join the Women's Outpatient Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing/midwifery practice, with at least 3 years post-registration experience. They will be responsible for providing expert care to women and their babies, supporting the Shared Maternity Care program, and leading a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing/midwifery care to women and their babies
  • Support the Shared Maternity Care program and work closely with SMCA and GPs
  • Exhibit strong leadership, management, communication, and clinical skills
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and encourage active involvement
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with SMCA regarding patient results and updates on care needs

Requirements

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Demonstrated competence in relevant nursing/midwifery practice areas
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
