Aviation Systems Maintenance Specialist

Bristow is seeking an Aviation Systems Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Perth.
Job DescriptionThis role involves the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The successful candidate will troubleshoot issues, conduct routine and non-routine maintenance, and perform repairs on various aircraft systems and components in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
This position requires a strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and a focus on preventing mechanical failure and minimizing operational downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Perform duties in a safe and effective manner, adhering to Company procedures (SMS and CPPM) and health and safety legislation;
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with organizational procedures, reporting any anomalies to the Engineering Manager;
- Carry out tasks as directed, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest amendments to Company procedures/manuals and technical data provisioned;
- Use current and applicable ICA to carry out work, verifying documents where reasonable doubt exists;
- Accurately record any work performed;
- Promptly report defective Company equipment or tooling;
- Participate in the Safety Management System (AIRS), reporting accidents, incidents, hazards, and near misses;
- Advise the Senior Engineer when procedure requirements need amendment, assisting with preparation;
- Liaise with DAMP Supervisors after accidents or incidents or suspected drug/alcohol use;
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the work area;
- Fulfill day-to-day tasks using knowledge, skills, and abilities;
- Complete other duties as instructed, appropriate to the job function and incumbent's skills.
We are looking for an individual with relevant Trade certification, excellent time management skills, high-level communication skills, and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably on Embraer aircraft, and possess an ASIC and Airside Drivers Licence. Good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure are essential.
