Airworthiness Compliance Specialist

The Australian Government Department of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Airworthiness Compliance Specialist to join their team. This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $110,000 per annum.
About the RoleThis position plays a crucial part in ensuring the ongoing sustainability of the 16th Aviation Brigade Maintenance Organisation certification under Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) Part 145. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting scheduled and random audits and sampling to assure conformance, as well as providing general surveillance of the maintenance venue.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and conduct of scheduled and random audits and sampling to assure conformance to procedures and safety requirements
- General and ongoing surveillance of the maintenance venue to further assure conformance to procedures and safety requirements
- Assisting key maintenance staff regarding the development and continual improvement of internal procedures/processes
The ideal candidate will possess relevant aviation technical experience in the aviation maintenance environment or similar discipline. They should also have relevant qualifications and understanding relating to Quality System auditing requirements and principles.
In addition, the successful applicant will be able to communicate effectively and interact with the internal workforce and key staff as may be required and as appropriate.
