**Injury Management Coordinator Role Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated professional to join our team as an Injury Management Coordinator. This role will be based in Sydney, covering 10 businesses in NSW, ACT & QLD.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of processes associated with the rehabilitation and timely return to work of injured and/or ill employees at their designated sites, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company policies & procedures.
The key responsibilities include:
- Providing training to all stakeholders on the injury management process, focusing on early intervention and building a positive rehabilitation and return to work environment.
- In conjunction with Site Management, identifying and maintaining a list of potential suitable duties for injured employees returning to work.
- Maintaining an up-to-date list of preferred medical support providers for the sites under their control.
- Liaising with site Management as soon as possible following injury or illness to a Staff member.
- Supporting triaging those injuries or illnesses in conjunction with the injured employee, Supervisor, or Manager to ensure quick and appropriate medical treatment is made available.
- Coodinating activities and communication with internal and external stakeholders such as: Treating health practitioners, Occupational rehabilitation specialists, Insurance company, and Workers Compensation Bodies in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Cert IV Personal Injury Management, Workers Compensation / Injury Management Coordinator training, Rehabilitation and Return to Work training/qualification, or similar.
- Demonstrated capability working in a similar position within a multi-site organisation.
- An understanding of applicable State / Territory Workers compensation schemes (case management experience will be highly regarded).
- Sound understanding of return to work and rehabilitation processes.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Able to build effective and influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
