Medical Receptionist Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our team immediately. This position is casual, with the potential to transition into a part-time permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients as they arrive at the clinic and maintaining patient records in a database
  • Ensuring confidentiality and processing payments accurately, including Medicare and private billing systems
  • Preparing rooms for consultants and assisting with phototherapy treatments

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year recent experience in medical reception roles
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in medical software, with a plus for Genie experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of the MBS, item numbers, and PRODA requirements
  • Ability to multitask effectively, manage time well, and work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with outstanding customer service abilities and patience towards patients and their families
