Electrical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled electrical specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering services provision, you will be working with a spectrum of industries including mining, oil and gas, utilities, renewable energy, rail, and defence sectors throughout Australia and Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning and maintenance testing of HV power transformers.
  • Construction, assembly, and repairs to HV power transformers, bushing installation/replacement, leak repairs onsite and in workshop environment.
  • Proven experience with application of vacuum and performing oil filtration/degasification.
  • Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports upon completion of works.
  • Carry out JSAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls.

Additional requirements include primary testing of HV/LV transformers (i.e. tan delta/voltage ratio/winding resistance/dielectric response/SFRA, oil sampling) and knowledge of circuit breaker and switchboard testing would be highly advantageous.

Qualifications include an unrestricted QLD electrical fitter and mechanics license, minimum 4 years' experience post trade, valid driver's license, HV switching ticket preferred, and knowledge of appropriate Australian standards.
