**Electrical Engineering Specialist Job Description**

The role of Electrical Engineering Specialist involves carrying out instructions from line managers and/or senior team members to perform complex technical activities. This includes maintaining, operating, testing, and commissioning protection systems and equipment.

This position requires travel across the country on a project-by-project basis. Key responsibilities include commissioning, testing, and maintaining high voltage primary plant including power transformers and HV cables. Additionally, secondary system testing and fault finding are also involved. The specialist will be responsible for preparing commissioning/testing documentation, test plans, and creating detailed technical reports after completion of works.

Another critical aspect of this role is identifying hazards and implementing controls before commencing new works. This is achieved through JSAs or CTAs prior to any new tasks. To be successful in this position, applicants must hold relevant qualifications and experience in electrical engineering.
