Materials and Logistics Manager

Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials and Logistics Lead to join our Operations business in Australia and Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement industry best practices in logistics and materials management, inventory management, client contract requirements, and supply chain principles and techniques.
- Manage and maintain detailed knowledge of key material control and logistics concepts and principles, and implement inventory/material processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with audit and assurance requirements.
- Utilize ERPS Systems (Maximo, Oracle, SAP) to manage and optimize logistics and materials processes.
- Lead and manage a team of logistics and materials professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, balancing operational excellence with commercial requirements.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency, process, and tool improvement to drive optimal performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Commerce, Supply Chain/Logistics from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in the use of ERPS Systems (Maximo, Oracle, SAP).
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising a team of logistics and materials professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and commercial requirements.
