Key Responsibilities:
- Support your team with system implementation, driving operational efficiencies, and taking ownership of Cargowise processes and workflow.
- Act as the escalation point for complicated and problematic shipments.
- Review and implement operational best practices in line with the company and branch's requirements.
- Grow your team's capabilities through recruitment, induction, and ongoing learning & development.
- Provide operational coverage for all team members during annual and sick leave.
- Be responsible for the branch's finance and risk and compliance, including end of month processes.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with service providers/partners and clients.
- Support management and sales teams in generating quotations for both current and potential customers.
- Order Management – Liaise with clients, partners, and service providers to arrange shipment bookings and capture data in Cargowise from booking to PreAlert stage.
We are looking for a highly experienced freight forwarding professional who is hands-on, detail-minded, and able to look at the big picture. You will be driven to deliver high-quality services that benefit both our customers and our business.
Requirements:
- Experience as a freight forwarding operations manager or supervisor.
- Ability to troubleshoot complicated and problematic shipments for clients and team members.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Leadership skills with a team-first attitude.
- Basic computer skills, with Cargowise, ICS, and 1-Stop knowledge and experience highly desirable.
